The
role of projects in organizations is receiving increasing attention.
Projects are major tool for implementation and achieving the strategic
goals of any organization. Project Management provides people with a
powerful set of tools that improves their ability to plan, implement and
rearrange activities to accomplish specific organizational objectives.
Project Management is no longer special-need management. It is rapidly
becoming a standard way of doing business. The future promises an
increase in the importance and role of projects in contributing to
strategic direction of organizations. The global competition,
compression of Product Life Cycle, knowledge explosion and increased
Customer Focus are some of the reasons why Project Management has become
essential for the growth of any organization. Chartered Institute of
Logistics & Transport has decided to launch a certified course on
Project Management to train the staff of Public & Private Sector
organizations. This course is being conducted in collaboration with
Burraq Associates at PIA Training Centre, Karachi, in the month of
October, 2009.
The Course is due to start on 29th October,
2009 at PIA Training Centre. Following are the salient
features of the Course:
- The course will be conducted as an Evening Program from
1800 to 2100 hours, two times a week on Wednesday and Friday in 30
hours. This duration enables the faculty to cover the modules
thoroughly and the students to derive full benefit.
- The faculty is qualified, experienced and trained with
proper aptitude for teaching.
- Instead of merely lecturing by the Faculty active
participation by the students is encouraged.
- Each student gets a complete set of course material.
- State of the Art Training Facilities in safe and
air-conditioned environment at PIA Training Centre, Karachi Airport,

Fifteen to Twenty (15-20) participants will be admitted for the
Certified Course on Project Management on first come firs\t served
basis.
