Membership of youth and women is encouraged. It is planned to offer special incentives to these two categories.

• CILT Membership is recognized as equivalent to degree in transport at international level.
• CILT Members are preferred for jobs in transport and logistics sectors.
• PIA offers 50% concession for international travel on their network.
• Pakistan Railways offers 50% concession by ACC Sleeper to our members.
• Membership offers opportunities for interaction with transport and logistics professionals and making a contribution for improvement of the sector.
• We issue a Membership Directory with Address, Tel, Fax, etc.

CILT Pakistan publishes bi-annually Pakistan Logistics and Transport News which is a high quality professional Magazine and CILT WORLD (a quarterly publication of CILT International) which are sent to all our Members as part of the subscription.
 

Note : Those who wish to apply for Membership should fill up the prescribed Membership Application form and forward the same to CILT Office at Karachi or the respective Section to assess the applicable grade and process the application for membership.

This is the starting grade of the Institute and includes students. Minimum qualification is Intermediate in Science, Arts or Commerce and an interest in adopting transport as profession. Affiliate offers access to all the

benefits of membership, except letters after your name. Deck Cadets of the Merchant Navy are also eligible. Minimum age for this grade is 18.

1. University Degree, CILT Certificate in Logistics and Transport or Diploma in Transport and professional qualifications like Freight Forwarders Course.
2.  Minimum of 3 years transport experience and serving in grade 16 or 17of NPS or equivalent in private sector.
3. Minimum age - 22 years. 
4. Chief Officers and Second Engineers of the Merchant Navy and equivalent appointments in other Transport modes.
5. Officers of Captain's rank of Pakistan Army or equivalent rank of the other services.

This is the new grade which has been approved by the Privy Council on 23rd September, 2003. It replaces the old grade of Associate Member. Great advantage of this grade is the post nominal of MILT which is expected to attract a large number of young people.

1. This grade represents the core of professional Membership in the Institute.
2. Qualifications for this grade are as under:
   1. Graduate or CILT Advance Diploma
   2. Minimum of 5 years transport experience and holding a Managerial level post of Grade-18 or above in Government Service or equivalent position in private sector transport & logistics undertakings or organizations.
   3. Majors and above of the army and equivalent ranks of other services with transport and logistics experience.
   4. Captains and Chief Engineers of Merchant Navy (who hold Master's Certificate of F.G. and M.O.T. 1st Class respectively) and equivalent posts in other modes of transport will also be eligible.

1. This is the highest grade of membership which is reserved for those who have achieved a high level of eminence in transport or in the Institute.
2. Those Chartered Members with at least 10 years standing as a Chartered
   Member or 15 years of transport experience and who have achieved a high position of responsibility in Transport and who are holding a Grade
   20 and above or equivalent post in Transport and Logistics Industry or
   organisations.
3. Exceptional service to the Institute is a prime requirement for election to
   Chartered Fellow.
4. Direct election as Fellow would be exceptional and will be considered only
   for heads of transport and logistics organisations in Grade 21 and Grade
   22 or equivalent post.

Basic requirements for all Grades is regular payment of subscription and other Institute dues.
