CILT Pakistan has been making concerted efforts in the field of transport education. For the last 16 years an annual Post Graduate Diploma Course in Transport has been organized by CILT Pakistan in conjunction with prestigious Karachi University. Masters Course in Transport Management is being conducted in Karachi University with the assistance of CIT Pakistan since 1996.

Major programs conducted by CILT Pakistan are as under:-

  1. Workshop on "Career Development in the Field of Freight Forwarding and Multi Modal Transport Organisation" on 12th March1991.

  2. 5 days Training Seminar on Container Development Policy in collaboration with UNDP and UNCTAD from 18th to 22nd September, 1993.

  3. The Seminar was conducted by Prof. Dr. Brian Thomas of University of Wales (who is an international authority on containerization and has been working as an Advisor to UNDP since 1971).

  4. Three Courses on "Freight Forwarding and Clearing" of two weeks duration each were organized in 1995.

Seminars, workshops & conferences  are regular feature of CILTPAK to enhance the skills and competency of the transportants  and Logisticians. Another pursuit of the Institute in Pakistan is to arrange periodic professional visits to organisations and places of transport orientation which have evoked popular interest from CILT members. An annual get-together is arranged in December where families of Members are also invited.

Human factors and safety solutions is a project of Mehar&Shafiq Associates  and offers online and inhouse tailor made customized courses and Solutions on Human Factors and Safety issues. A special consideration is granted to CILT community. Online courses are also available which are offered  free of charge to CILT membership:
